Pair of Bookends #3530 designed by Carl Auböck. His timeless mid-century objects were favoritesfavorites of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, who displayed several of them on his desk. These incredibly refined and sculptural pieces are cast in solid brass from the original cast and patinated. It is wrapped in natural cane. They carry the Werkstätte Carl Auböck stamp. They are also available in brass.
Pieces are in continuous production at the family-run Carl Auböck Werkstätte (workshop) in Vienna.
Please note: Auböck pieces are made by hand, each one will differ slightly. Imperfections such as small marks on the surface of this item are evidence of the handmade production process and should not be considered defects.
