Leonid Rath
Leonid Rath (1971-) was born in Vienna, Austria as part of the sixth generation of the Lobmeyr family. He studied materials engineering and business and as managing director since 2002 runs the business with his cousins Andreas and Johannes Rath.
Leonid Rath is responsible for the development, production and international marketing of the Lobmeyr glassware division. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the MAK Art Society, and of the Advisory Board of the Forum Mozartplatz. He works in close collaboration with today’s designers, and several carefully considered editions were returned to production. “We like to think of our product range as a garden where you plant new seedlings on a regular basis and cut down a dead tree here or there. The assortment must always meet the needs that people have today."
