Pair of candleholders #3469 designed by Carl Auböck. His timeless mid-century objects were favorites of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, who displayed several of them on his desk. These incredibly refined and sculptural pieces are cast in solid brass from the original cast. They have a polished brass top and a patinated brass base. In the center of the top surface, They also have a pointed brass which provides a better hold. They carry the Werkstätte Carl Auböck stamp.
Pieces are in continuous production at the family-run Carl Auböck Werkstätte (workshop) in Vienna.
Please note: Auböck pieces are made by hand, each one will differ slightly. Imperfections such as small marks on the surface of this item are evidence of the handmade production process and should not be considered defects.
