The large "Vario I" glazed porcelain vase is part of the"Vario" series designed by Gottfried Palatin. It captivates with a sensual clarity and exact harmony of the bulbous base and optional lid. The 24K gilded lid with center hole can be removed to accommodate larger bouquets of flowers.

Founded in 1718, the Augarten Porcelain is the second-oldest in Europe. Now as then, porcelain continues to be made and painted by hand. Each piece is thus unique.
