COLORFUL FARMHOUSE

The original 1918 farmhouse is located in a cul de sac, which was once vast farm land and is now occupied by numerous residences. The owners had lived there since the 1970s and they hired Adeeni Design Group to return the home to its original rustic roots. It was the designers’ goal to give the clients a more timeless look and in keeping with their casual lifestyle. Removing the various wallpapers and replacing them with beaded wainscots and warm-colored paint above brightened up the walls. The wall between the living room and family room was opened up to create better flow, and the bedrooms of the now grown children were turned into four guest rooms. Antique fairs all over the country became resources for countless one-of-a-kind furnishings throughout the house. This farmhouse now pays homage to its roots and truly reflects its owners’ personalities.
