Thomas Feichtner

Thomas Feichtner (1970-) was born in Brazil and grew up in Austria. He studied industrial design at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz.

An internationally established product designer, he had designed numerous products for international brands such as Swarovski, Laufen, Bene, Adidas, Head, Absolut, Augarten, J. & L. Lobmeyr, Neue Wiener Werkstätten, TON and Carl Mertens and realized projects in cooperation with manufactures such as Vitra, Thonet and FSB. Feichtner’s designs have included sporting equipment, furniture, lighting, tabletop, eyewear, jewelry,

He has had international exhibitions at the Triennale di Milano, the International Biennial of Design in Saint Etienne, the Austrian Cultural Forum London as well as the MAK in Vienna and has been bestowed a number of international design awards including the Austrian State Award for Design. A personal monograph “Thomas Feichtner – Edge to Edge“ was released by the MAK in 2010. Feichtner lives and works in Vienna.
