“Pagoda" Chandelier by Carl Witzmann

by J. & L. Lobmeyr

New, original 1931 design

Art Déco "Pagoda" chandelier designed by Carl Witzmann for the refurbishment of the cabaret and movie theater Scala in Vienna.  The Viennese architect, a student of Josef Hoffmann, perfectly matched Lobmeyr's philosophy of combining classic Asian shapes with modern elements. This playful design takes its splendor from the vast amount of hand-cut Swarovski crystal beads. The geometric form is complemented by a solid brass frame finished in brushed nickel, which gives it an organic feel and contradicts the otherwise polished finish.8 x E27 sockets with a max wattage of 480W.

Also available in a French gold or polished nickel finish, as well as custom metal finishes. Please inquire about options.
