"Malay" biscuit jar made of pure white porcelain, part of the "Orient" collection designed by Ena Rottenberg featuring a decorative head as the finial on the lid.  In the "Ena" collection the lids of the tea & coffee pots and sugar bowl have a more restrained, smooth button. In the "Orient" collection they adorned with exotic heads, showing the delicate features of people from India, Malaysia, China and Africa to symbolize the countries from which coffee and tea were and still are imported to Europe.

Founded in 1718, the Augarten Porcelain is the second-oldest in Europe. Now as then, porcelain continues to be made and painted by hand. Each piece is thus unique.
