"My Son" Sculpture #4752 in Patinated Brass by Carl Auböck
designed in the 1950s, new
"My Son" sculpture #4752 designed by Carl Auböck. This sculpture was designed by Carl Auböck II, who wanted to depict his son through a piece of art. His timeless mid-century objects were favorites of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, who displayed several of them on his desk. This incredibly refined and sculptural piece is cast in solid brass from the original cast and patinated. It carries the Werkstätte Carl Auböck stamp.
Pieces are in continued production at the family-run Carl Auböck Werkstätte (workshop) in Vienna.
Please note: Auböck pieces are made by hand, each one will differ slightly. Imperfections such as small marks on the surface of this item are evidence of the handmade production process and should not be considered defects.
