Pair of "T" Bookends #3847 in Patinated Brass by Carl Auböck
designed in the 1950s, new
Pair of "T" bookends #3847 designed by Carl Auböck. His timeless mid-century objects were favorites of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, who displayed several of them on his desk. These incredibly refined and sculptural pieces are cast in solid brass from the original cast and polished on front and back and patinated on sides. They carry the Werkstätte Carl Auböck stamp.
Pieces are in continued production at the family-run Carl Auböck Werkstätte (workshop) in Vienna.
Please note: Auböck pieces are made by hand, each one will differ slightly. Imperfections such as small marks on the surface of this item are evidence of the handmade production process and should not be considered defects.
